Literature Review

Writing this Literature Review has really helped me feel better for future research. The reason being is I know how to find the information I'm looking for faster and I'm better at finding the right information as well. I'm not completely ready to go, however I do have the tools to be able to do it right in the future. I'm happy I finally switched to doing APA citation because I was stuck using MLA at the beginning of my assignments. I took a peek at my upcoming classed, and the instructor said she required APA citation because we are all college students...phhhewww! I'm glad I'm a little more comfortable using the citation. I don't think I found writing this literature review difficult because I felt like I was explained in class what was expected of it. We also were preparing for this review from week 1, I thought it helped me complete this assignment. The only challenge I did encounter, was me knowing what was the best information for the review. I think making sure it was put together well was my only difficulty. Because of this literature review, I found useful information regarding the dual immersion program. How this program work, what makes this program successful, the outcomes and all the hard work that is put in by teachers and school staff. My daughter is enrolled in the program in Turlock, therefore, when I read how the parents play an important role in the success of the program itself, I could agree with  the information. Every time there is back to school, or any school activity I feel there is always a god parent turn out.  My daughter didn't speak any English when she started Kindergarten, she is now in 6th grade and even advanced in many subjects. I feel as if for me anything else that I would want to research any further would have to be when I work hands on with the student, then I think I would question different areas. This dual immersion program is praised by many people, and hopefully it keeps on growing.
