Week 6
With these two articles I found this week, I felt like a sponge, absorbing all I read. Each week there's new information. I like how all this information is tested, their is proof that the dual immersion program is beneficial in the students learning. The Brandman Libraries are awesome. At first when I didn't know how to use it, I really thought I was never going to get the hang of it, but now, when I go in there, I feel so comfortable I feel like and expert. This week though was just really helpful information regarding the program and how parents are really behind the success, making sure the students always stay at the same level with the program, and making sure they help out in the school and at home. There was also the teachers that make this program a success, it takes a lot of hard work from the teachers and the parents as well. To get this programs started in the school system is hard work. There is the promoting of the program, then getting the students they need to start the program. They need to make sure that parents are happy with the program, in order to keep this program alive. With this week's readings, their just a reminder, of what we all know because we have been taught this from high school. Plagiarism is not tolerated, I know sometimes we don't cite correctly, and I think teachers usually have an idea when it's done unintentionally. However, takings someone else's paper as your own...we're all grown ups here, we know what's right from wrong. The readings were just a friendly reminder. This class is very helpful in showing students how to cite correctly, if we ever have any questions regarding citing, teachers and the school are here to help.
